Naturopathic Medicine is a primary health care profession, a gentle, complete and coordinated approach to health care and illness prevention. The utmost goals of Naturopathic Medicine are to address the underlying cause of illness and support the body's innate healing abilitites.

The role of your Naturopathic Doctor is to teach and assist you in the achievement and maintenance of optimal health. Naturopathic Medicine's focus on disease prevention, patient education, health maintenance and natural, non-invasive treatment options results in cost effective health care in both the immediate and long term.

Naturopathic Medicine:    Dr. Kate Wharton BSc(Hons), ND:  

Dr. Kate completed her undergraduate degree in Life Science at Queen's University, She has been practicing as a licensed Naturopathic Doctor (ND) since graduation from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2003. Dr. Kate has taught Anatomy and Physiology at the College level and frequently gives health-improvement seminars to community groups, businesses and organizations. 

 Dr. Kate is a Naturopathic Doula and perinatal care enthusiast, a certified Autism practitioner (DAN!/ ARI and MAPS) and certified Restorative Medicine practitioner. She has also been a contributing author/ expert for Life Balance/ Live in Balance Magazine, LifePeak Magazine and NOW Magazine. As a mum of 2 boys (and a big hairy dog), when not busy with patients, Dr. Kate loves spending time running, hiking and exploring outdoors with her family and growing nutritious foods in her organic garden. Dr. Kate is passionate about helping women achieve and maintain healthy pregnancies and helping people of all ages, particularly children, understand and care for their special health needs and challenges.

Dr. Christina Roper, ND

Dr. Christina Roper is a dedicated healthcare professional who has spent years of her life pursuing knowledge and training to help others. She graduated from York University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, and later completed her Doctor of Naturopathy degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2022. Driven by a desire to learn more about natural healing modalities and treating the root cause of illness, Dr. Christina pursued further education at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. There, she immersed herself in the study of naturopathic medicine, learning about the power of botanical medicine, nutrition, acupuncture, homeopathy and lifestyle changes in promoting optimal health and wellness. In addition to her education, Dr. Roper also volunteered with Naturopaths without Borders in Mexico, providing healthcare services to underserved communities. This experience allowed her to put her skills and knowledge into practice, while also gaining a deeper understanding of the importance of culturally sensitive care.

Dr. Christina’s education and background in both conventional medicine and naturopathic medicine give her a unique perspective on patient care and healing. She is passionate about holistic healing and helping her patients achieve optimal health.

Dr. Sofia Yevko, ND

Dr. Sofia Yevko, ND is a Naturopathic Doctor who is dedicated to helping people achieve their health and wellness goals. She is passionate about mental health, digestive health, metabolic health, and hormonal concerns while maintaining a general health practice that encompasses a variety of concerns and conditions. Sofia values the importance of respect and listening as well as open and honest communication. She will always make sure you feel heard and understood. She strives to educate and empower her patients so that they have a better understanding of their health, and is excited to meet you to contribute meaningfully towards your healthcare journey.

  •  Holistic Nutrition:

Arlete Susana Cevada-Marcos, BA(Hons), OCT, CHN

Ask about her plant-based cooking demos and nutrition workshops to join in on the learning! Arlete Susana is a Certified Holistic Nutritionist who graduated from the Durham School of Health and Nutrition and is passionate about healthy living. She is also a bilingual Ontario Certified Teacher and loves to learn and share what she learns with others. Teaching others about our


Arlete takes a unique, holistic approach to supporting the whole person - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually - using whole foods, plant-based nutrition for healing and prevention of lifestyle diseases and holistic lifestyle principles. This method allows food to be our medicine in a gentle, yet powerful way. Arlete is also happily married and blessed with two amazing children. She and her family enjoy living simply in their country home, growing much of their food in their organic garden, taking long walks through their trails together, and exploring the natural environment.

  • Chiropractic care:  Dr. Nigel Hudson, DC                                                                                                                               Dr. Hudson joins us on thursdays, in addition to his busy practice in Bolton.  Dr, Hudson brings close to 30 years of chiropractic experience as well as a passion for the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries to Natural Balance.  Nigel began his university career doing a 5 year BSc in Human Anatomy from the University of Saskatchewan (yes, he's a prairie boy!), then spent 2 years on an MSc in Neuroanatomy at the University of Western Ontario, followed up by a four-year Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from CMCC in Toronto. This was followed with a 3-year sports fellowship specialization, FRCCSS(C), from CMCC.

    As a sports specialist he has travelled with the Canadian Men's Bobsleigh and Skeleton Teams on the World Cup Circuit, worked for the Pan Am Games, Canadian Winter Games as well as Ontario Summer & Winter Games. Dr. Hudson was the team Chiropractor for a AAA Women's Hockey Team, the Swiss National hockey team and worked at the Women's World Hockey Championships numerous times.

    An athlete himself, Nigel has played football, rugby, hockey and field lacrosse as well as rowing at Western University, run a few road marathons, trail marathons, half marathons and a 50km Ultra, 2 half and 2 full Ironman races, 100km, 50km, 40km and 24 hours mountain bike races as well as 36 hour adventure races and adventure runs (he gets bored easily and change disciplines a lot)!   However, through all his own experience racing and competing at different sports, working with multiple sports teams in many disciplines, as well as my sports specialization and anatomy knowledge, I have become very good at diagnosing and treating sports injuries of the extremities (shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and feet!)

    Dr. Hudson looks forward to meeting people of Alliston and area and figuring out challenging sport injuries as well as the everyday ordinary spinal issues we all succumb to through wear and tear and aging. 

  • Psychotherapy:  Stephanie Teledgi, MA, RP, CCC, SEP                              Stephanie Telegdi joins us on tuesdays and thursdays, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to support mental health.   Stephanie completed her MA, with a specialization in Art Therapy from Concordia University in Montreal. After many years of practicing as a psychotherapist, Stephanie has moved from using art in her practice to supporting clients through their bodies and nervous system. With a special interest in trauma, Stephanie became trained in Somatic Experiencing® (SE™), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP).

    Stephanie is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and is a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC). Stephanie is also a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP) and a Certified Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) Provider.

    Stephanie is passionate about supporting adults in navigating the impact of early traumatic experiences, anxiety, and stress. In bringing awareness to the body in a new way and learning to speak its language, we can become unstuck and free to connect more deeply with ourselves and others. Stephanie is a wife and the mother of two wonderfully spirited children.   • Massage Therapy:     Tara North, RMT  - Tara will be retiring from RMT work in Dec/ 23 we will work hard to try to find another practitioner to join our space who can provide this service!

Fees for Care: 

Naturopathic consultations and laboratory testing are unfortunately not covered by OHIP.  If you have an extended benefits plan you may have coverage for Naturopathic medical care.  Fees can also be claimed on  your yearly tax return as health expenses.  There is no federal or provincial tax on Naturopathic services. 

Naturopathic care fees: 

Initial consultation/ primary visit (90 min): $194.00

Second visit (60 min): $129.00

Subsequent visit/ acupuncture visit (30 min): $70.00

Acupuncture intake visit (60 min): $129.00

Extended subsequent visit (45 min):  $90.00

Short visit (15 min): $39.00

Injection visit (5 min): $9.50
